Local success at Waste 2 Art regional competition

Following a successful local competition and exhibition, artists from Lachlan Shire excelled at the 2023 Waste 2 Art Regional Competition held in Blayney. Two local artists received highly commended and one artist declared the winner in their category.
Congratulations to all of the participants in the local and regional competitions, and a special congratulations to those artists that have received awards at regional level.
Those successful at the regional event were:
Winner - Primary Functional category - Addison Crammond, “The Aussie Hat”
Highly Commended - Primary 2D category - Anastasia Phillips, “Lyla”
Highly Commended – Community 2D category - Mark Phillips, “Palius Tinius”
Lachlan Shire Council Mayor Cr John Medcalf OAM said, “the artists have demonstrated talent, creativity and high standards to achieve regional recognition under this year’s theme - textiles and fast fashion.
Waste 2 Art 2023 was one of our most creative displays of artworks to date, and we look forward to another successful event in 2024 - well done everyone.”
