The Lachlan Children’s Services preschool class of 2024 graduated on 13 December. The children celebrated with a special ceremony and graduation cake made by Miss Lisa. It is always sad to say goodbye but we are so excited for our graduates as they get ready to start big school, find new friends and have new experiences. We hope they have a wonderful time at kindy next year and look forward to seeing some of them back at after school or vacation care in the future.

Our childcare service is run by Lachlan Shire Council. It is a fully accredited, government funded, service which operates on a not for profit basis. We exist to ensure that all members of the community have access to affordable, quality child care services.

Like many businesses, Lachlan Children’s Services has experienced some challenges during 2024 due to the tight labour market. To combat this, we have concentrated on offering training and development opportunities to our existing staff to help meet our needs and the needs of the community. We have also recently welcomed some new trainees to our team and we look forward to supporting more of our staff to undertake training and professional development in 2025.

Lachlan Children’s Services will take a short break over Christmas and will reopen for vacation care on 6 January 2025. Preschool will recommence on 3 February 2025 and we are now taking enrolments for preschool in Condobolin, and both Condobolin and Tullibigeal Mobile Childcare Services. There are also a very limited number of vacancies available in vacation care and afterschool care in 2025.

We wish all our families a safe and joyous holiday period and are excited to welcome new families and children to our service in the new year. For more information about our vacancies, call 02 6895 2280.
