Condobolin Drinking Water Quality
Published on 02 January 2024
With the recent changes in taste to the Condobolin Water Supply, residents are assured the water supply is safe to drink and that it does meet the national drinking water standards.
Lachlan Shire Council’s General Manager Greg Tory said “Recent storm and rainfall activity have contributed to poor raw water quality in the Goobang Creek.
“Residents can be assured that the quality of the town water supply meets the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, and is safe for human consumption. However, at present, our filtration plant is unable to remove the problems of the earthy odour and taste.”
Council takes this opportunity to thank the community for their patience, and any further inquiries relating to water quality can be directed to Council’s Infrastructure Services Department on 02 6895 1900.
