By-election E Ward Lachlan Shire Council

A by-election will be held on
23 November 2024 to elect a councillor to fill the vacant position in E Ward of Lachlan Shire Council.

Voters in E Ward are required to vote. If you are unsure of your enrolment details visit the

If you are an Australian citizen who is over 18 and have resided in E Ward for more than one month, you must enrol to vote by Monday, 14 October 2024. Visit the NSW Electoral Commission Website for more information.

- Announcement of candidates and conduct of ballot paper draw

- Postal vote mailing to electors commences

Friday, 15 November 2024
- 5pm: Registration of electoral material closes

Saturday, 16 November 2024
- Pre-poll voting opens
- Telephone assisted voting for blind and low vision electors commences

Monday, 18 November 2024
- Close of registration for third-party campaigners
- 5pm: Postal vote applications close

Friday, 22 November 2024
- 6pm: Pre-poll voting closes
- Telephone assisted voting  applications close

Saturday, 23 November 2024
- Election day: polling places open 8am - 6pm
- End of capped expenditure period
- 1pm: Telephone assisted voting closes
