Liberty Park - Lake Cargelligo

Established in memory of those who served in World War I, the park was officially opened on 15 November 1919. A newspaper article published in The Wyalong Advocate and Mining, Agricultural and Pastoral Gazette (NSW), 2 December 1919 marked the occasion. stating that the park was named by competition, hence the name Liberty Park.

The memorial has been extended to include those who served in World War II.
