Gum Bend Lake - Condobolin

The creation of Gum Bend Lake on Gum Bend Road, 3 kms from Condobolin's Town centre, was a bicentennial project to commemorate the nations bicentenary in 1988. It was jointly funded by the New South Wales Bicentennial Council, the people of Condobolin and the Lachlan Shire Council.

Council operates Gum Bend Lake as a recreational reserve. It was named Dora L'estrange Reserve in 2014 to honour the work Dora undertook, being a long time lobbyist and member of the working committee which planned and raised the funds for the creation of Gum Bend Lake.
